FLAG OF EXCELLENCE FOR LOCAL PARKS

Two of the our local parks have been awarded the Green Flag by Keep Britain Tidy in recognition for the hard work of council staff and volunteers who keep the parks clean, tidy and such fantastic green spaces for us all to use. Beacon Country Park near Up Holland and Coronation Park in Ormskirk have both been given the accolade.

It’s the 10th successive year that Beacon Country Park has been awarded the Green Flag but this year the park was awarded the highest possible rating making it among the best of the best in the UK. Coronation Park was also awarded the Green Flag for the ninth successive year.

So let’s get out and enjoy the wonderful green spaces on offer locally. We are lucky to have such great parks in our area!
